Prior to joining COS, Maria has over 25 years of experience in business, comprehensive accounting and financial aspects in preparing internal management reporting, relevant compliance submissions to HMRC and Pension Providers, and complete work for Auditors use to submit final statutory accounts. She worked in a variety of key industries and sectors, such as railway consultancy and resource supply, manufacturing, Community Interest Company to develop the Voluntary Community and Social Enterprises and business process outsourcing, where Maria gathered ad-hoc knowledge and industry standards to contribute and support multi-lingual projects work, contracts translations and training. As part of large organisations, Maria has been involved in setting up, managing and implementing IT changes, including training of small teams.

Maria is an advocate of global business ethics, enjoys coaching and mentoring individuals through their study paths and/or plans for future achievements, holds a BA (Hons) in International Accounting for the University of Northampton and belongs to three professional bodies: AAT, CIPP and CMI.
