Ela is a Senior Research Scientist on the Quantitative Sciences team  of Clinical Outcomes Solutions (COS) who brings 20 years of experience to COS.

Ela worked as head of psychometrics at Tavistock Centre for Couple Relationships, London, UK, where she oversaw monitoring of clinical outcomes of psychological interventions for couples, applying pre- and post-intervention psychometric assessments and various repeated-measures methods as well as thematic analysis of in-depth interviews. She held a research associate position in the Department of Psychiatry, University of Cambridge, UK, where she worked on a project investigating psychometric models of common mental health disorders. She also had a lecturer position in the School of Psychology, University College, Dublin, Ireland, where she taught research methods, developmental and lifespan psychology, and supervised graduate and post-graduate students.

Ela has co-authored 25 peer-reviewed publications, journal papers, book chapters, and policy reports, including several reports for the Department for Work and Pensions and Department for Education. She presented at more than 20 conferences for researchers, policymakers, governmental bodies, and lay audiences. She has led, or substantially contributed, to research projects disseminated in journals such as Lancet Psychiatry, Health Psychology, BMC Psychiatry, BMJ Open, Journal of Nursing Measurement. She used data from large-scale, longitudinal cohort studies and she applied various quantitative methods including SEM-based modelling, CFA, EFA, IRT, reliability analysis, ML, latent class and latent profile modelling. Ela holds a Ph.D. in social psychology, from the University of Groningen, The Netherlands, and an MA in psychometrics from the University of Warsaw, Poland.
