We are looking for an experienced research scientist to join our growing global team.
Location: Tucson, AZ, Chicago IL, Folkestone UK
Remote working is available.
Our Research Scientists work directly with the COS senior team on patient-centered qualitative research to better understand patient symptom burden, health related quality of life impacts, treatment satisfaction, and tolerability within the context of developing new drug treatments.
This exciting role offers the opportunity to work locally and globally on patient-centered research studies across multiple therapeutic areas. Measures include patient-, clinician, and observer-reported outcomes to understand epidemiologic, health-related quality of life, and symptomology impact of disease on patients.

Key attributes
Experience
A minimum of a Master's degree in psychology, epidemiology, educational psychology, outcomes research, sociology or related areas and a minimum of 5-6 years relevant research experience
Qualitative skills
Strong qualitative skills and experience in conducting qualitative research (coding of interviews, use of software such as NVivo)
Communicator
Excellent written and verbal communications – you will lead interactions with the client on day to day activities in capacity as Research Lead
Leadership
Desire to work and lead a small team in a fast-paced, client-focused environment

Research Scientist 1
Duties
Work directly with senior team on patient-centered qualitative research to better understand patient symptom burden, health related quality of life impacts, treatment satisfaction, and tolerability within the context of developing new drug treatments. This role offers the opportunity to work locally and globally on patient-centered research studies across multiple therapeutic areas. Measures include patient-, clinician, and observer-reported outcomes to understand epidemiologic, health-related quality of life, and symptomology impact of disease on patients.
Skills:
- Leads interactions with the client on day to day activities in capacity as Research Lead
- Responsible for the preparation of study documents for qualitative research studies and delivers credible research for assigned projects
- Experience in conducting qualitative research (coding of interviews, use of software such as NVivo)
- Demonstrates strong project management skills and proactively manages study activities to meet the objectives of the
- Willingness and ability to conduct patient interviews (some travel required)
- Has strong understanding of the COA discipline and the pharmaceutical drug development process and, has some understanding of the regulatory environment pertaining to COAs
- Desire to work and lead a small team in a fast-paced, client focused
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Passion for conducting research and the organizational skills to support that passion
- Desire to have good work life balance (work hard and enjoy life outside of the work walls)
Education:
- A minimum of a Master's degree in psychology, epidemiology, educational psychology, outcomes research, sociology or related areas is required
- A minimum of 5-6 years relevant research experience
- Strong qualitative
- Presented at least 4 poster/podium at congresses and has least 4 peer reviewed manuscripts
