Associate Director/Director

We are looking for experienced directors to lead a team of researchers in advising on clinical outcomes assessments (COA) strategy and in developing innovative study designs for adapting or developing COAs. This role offers the opportunity to work locally and globally on patient-centered research studies across multiple therapeutic areas.

Measures include patient, clinician, and observer-reported outcomes to understand epidemiologic, health-related quality of life, and symptomology impact of disease on patients.

Location: Tucson, AZ, Chicago IL, or Folkestone, UK

Remote working is available.

Duties

 Lead a team of researchers in advising on clinical outcomes assessments (COA) strategy and in developing innovative study designs for adapting or developing COAs. This role offers the opportunity to work locally and globally on patient centered research studies across multiple therapeutic areas. Measures include patient-, clinician, and observer-reported outcomes to understand epidemiologic, health-related quality of life, and symptomology impact of disease on patients. 

Skills:

  • Experience in conducting COA literature reviews across multiple therapeutic indications. 

  • Experience in leading qualitative or mixed methods research projects including development of study protocol, patient interview guide, interpretation of study results and quality reporting. 

  • Strong knowledge of the outcomes research field to support new drug development. 

  • Willingness and ability to conduct patient interviews (some travel required) 

  • Ability to use qualitative data analysis tool e.g., NVivo 

  • Desire to work on a small team in a fast-paced, client focused environment. 

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills 

  • Strong interpersonal skills 

  • Passion for conducting research and the organizational skills to support that passion. 

  • Desire to have good work life balance (work hard and enjoy life outside of the work walls) 

    Education:

    •  A minimum of a Master’s degree in psychology, epidemiology, educational psychology, outcomes research, sociology or related areas is required (PhD preferred) 

    • A minimum of 7+ years in conducting or supporting ongoing research efforts 

    • Strong qualitative skills
