Prior to joining COS, she worked as an academic researcher and biostatistician at the University of Arizona for 13 years. This experience included an appointment in the College of Pharmacy, the College of Medicine and the College of Education.

Much of her work has been in the development, interpretation and analysis of Patient Reported Outcomes or Clinician Reported Outcomes. This was applied in clinical trials of smoking cessation, an osteoarthritis cohort study and school-based health promotion programs. She specializes in quantitative analysis and has extensive experience in mixed-methods research.

Libby received her Bachelors of Arts from Emory University in Atlanta, GA and her Doctorate in Biostatistics and Master’s in Public Health from the University of Arizona Mel and Enid Zuckerman College of Public Health. Her area of methodological interest is the estimand framework for Patient Reported Outcomes with missing data where she is developing methods to reduce bias and increase precision in responders analyses.
